About the Project
Creating this course was my first experience using Articulate Storyline 360 as part of my learning in The eLearning Designer's Academy. I chose a topic that is of personal interest—composting! I journeyed through the design process of the project as I learned in the Academy, which included creating design documentation, a course outline (includes learning objectives), storyboard and a prototype, followed by revisions and re-recording my audio with a new mic in Adobe Audition. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to create the graphics and some illustrations as well as a style guide to reference as I designed in Storyline 360. The final result is a fun, engaging and informative course that I hope inspires homeowners and community members to give composting a try.
Project Process
One of the first things I did was create the mind map above (using Miro) to help organize the structure and flow of the course and to ideate interactions. The blue boxes are text-based slide, and the orange boxes are activity-based slides.
From there, I developed a detailed course outline and then a storyboard with some basic visual layout designs of each slide.
